Aurora, CO – What started as one mother’s grieving response to the death of a daughter has grown into one of Denver’s most respected nonprofits serving needy children.
More than 120 guests attended our annual Bidz4Kidz Fundraiser on Saturday, September 24th to raise over $100,000 for Kenzi’s Causes. The event had lots of fun ranging from a heads or tails game, local food trucks from the Pig Rig and Burger Bus, drinks served by the Wandering Wagon, a live and silent auction, entertainment by 5280 Mobile DJ, and more. Global Medical Response sponsored the Bidz4Kidz event and proceeds from the event will fund the 2022 Toy Shops in December.
“Our goal is to serve 18,000 children through our Annual Toy Shops and partnering nonprofits across Colorado this year. We know the community is in need of services and want to be able provide joy for as many kids as we can this year.” -Jessica Bachus, Founder & Executive Director

Kenzi’s Causes was founded in 2007 after Jessica Bachus’ daughter Kenzi was stillborn at 24 weeks. Overcome with grief, Jessica felt compelled to channel her emotions into something that would honor Kenzi’s memory. With this notion, Kenzi’s Causes was created so that Jessica and her family could provide dolls to young girls at Christmastime who would otherwise go without. Jessica collected over 150 dolls the first year and since then Kenzi’s Causes has expanded, providing support to over 126,022 children across Colorado. Jessica and her husband Kyle have three living children and are dedicated to serving the community they live in.
