Ana’s family has found joy in the year-round activities made possible by the program. “Being able to go to events like skating or swimming when normally I wouldn’t be able to afford it is amazing,” Ana explained. From trips to the zoo to homemade pizza nights inspired by their love of cooking together, Kenzi’s Kidz has given Ana the ability to create moments of joy and connection with her children.
“The zoo membership was amazing,” Ana said, recalling how much her kids enjoyed the experience. “The activities that I get to do with my kids—it’s a good feeling to know we can do more than just free stuff like going to the park.” These shared experiences have brought Ana and her children closer together, creating a strong bond and a treasure trove of happy memories.
Perhaps most importantly, Kenzi’s Kidz has given Ana something beyond financial support: a sense of community. “Being surrounded by people that are so nice and caring is amazing,” Ana said. “All the families seem so nice, and I don’t feel judged because I need help and I’m a single mom. It’s a good feeling.”
For Ana, the program’s compassion and understanding have lifted an enormous weight off her shoulders. “Having help with food when it’s available and household items really takes a load off of my shoulders,” she shared. “I am able to spend time with my kids doing fun things, and we always look forward to the events that are planned.”
As Ana reflects on her experience with Kenzi’s Kidz, her gratitude shines through. “I just want to say thank you for all that you do! It’s truly amazing and so appreciated.”
