2012 Toy Shop a HUGE Success

Our 3rd Annual Dolls for Daughters® and Toys for Boys® Toy Shop was a huge success. We provided more than 900 families with 3,100 children more than 23,000 items this holiday season. 3,000 of these children went home with a new toy, three stocking stuffers, a new book with a bookmark and a toothbrush/toothpaste kit. Words cannot describe how I felt when I arrived at the event before 8am. The line was a block long with families who needed assistance this holiday season. The first family lined up at 8pm the night before our event to ensure they were able to provide their child(ren) with new toys this year.

This event would not have been possible without the Dolls for Daughters® Board of Directors and our volunteers. We had more than 200 volunteers helping us give away toys to families in need. Thank you all for your time and support. I would also like to thank all of our sponsors:

The doors were closed and the toys were gone by 3:30pm. It was more than we expected and more than we could have hoped for. As we look to 2013, we realize we are in need of a larger event space to accommodate all the parking needs since this event will continue to grow. We hope to provide new toys and more to 3200 children. We want to thank all of you for your support in 2012 and look forward to seeing you in 2013.
