Bowl a Thon a HUGE Success

Dolls for Daughters® raised $3682 and had 115 new toys donated for our Dolls for Daughters® and Toys for Boys® toy drive. These toys will be given away along with at least 3000 new toys to boys and girls in our community on December 11, 2010.

Dolls for Daughters® held its 2nd Annual Bowl a Thon on May 22, 2010. This event was sold out and we had to turn bowlers away before the event. Eltich Lanes was kind enough to allow us to host this event at their bowling alley again this year. Our event had a ton of lane sponsors this year and we’d like to thank them for their support: Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation, Hillyard, Wahlberg, Kudla & Sloane LLP, Injury Finance, LLC, Kelly Ramsdale & Associates, Inc., Myers Legal Video Services, LLC, NorthWestern Electrical, Roberts Levin Rosenberg PC, Apex Electric, Inc., Sanitas Skincare, Spine One and Masterguard Fire Safety.

Not only did we have community support from these amazing business, we had community support from tons of other businessess. Mici Handcrafted Italian provided the pasta for the bowlers. Nothing Bundt Cakes and The Bagle Bakery & Cake Shoppe provided the goodies for the event.

We had additional support from other businesses and teams. These donations were used as prizes for our bowlers: Tootsies Nail Shoppe, Colorado Music Festival, Denver Art Museum, Jack & Jill Children’s Salon, The Wizard’s Chest, the Colorado Rapids Tickets, the Glendale Raptors, the Downtown Aquarium, The Cherry Cricket, Monkey Business: Westminster, Gunther Toodies, Big City Burrito, Olive Garden, Zolarium Tanning and Enstrom Candies. Our bowl a thon would not have been as successful without these amazing sponsors and the people who came out to bowl.

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
