Community Support

As Dolls for Daughters® approaches its first year as a nonprofit, I am looking back over the past year and could not be more pleased with what Dolls for Daughters® has been able to do in one year as a nonprofit. We were able to grow our donations to more than double 2008’s donations; we were able to grow our community support by at least 90%. Community support is not only the people in our community that are supporting us with donations but the business in our community that have stepped up to show their support.

Community support is key to the success of Dolls for Daughters®. Community and business support allow us to give back to the community more than ever. As we move forward into the second half of 2010, we want to thank everyone who has supported us in the past and look forward to your continued support and spreading the word about Dolls for Daughters®. We look forward to a wonderful rest of 2010 and hope we are able to collect and donate more than 3,000 new toys to boys and girls in our community on December 11, 2010.

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
