Continued Support from Gilbert, Ollanik, and Komyatte, P.C.

Dolls for Daughters® began in 2007 the year that I lost Kenzi. I asked Kyle to support me as I collected new dolls for girls in need of a new doll at the holidays. Since 2007, Dolls for Daughters® has grown into more than I could ever dream of. We have been able to change the lives of over 2,000 girls in our community.

It is with the help of businesses in our community that we can be such a HUGE success. One such business is the law firm of Gilbert, Ollanik, and Komyatte, P.C. in Arvada. I think it is important to share why businesses support Dolls for Daughters® and how they have come to be such an important part of our organization.

In their own words…

Several years ago we learned about this organization bringing some simple joy to children at holiday time, and all of us here wanted to participate. The Dolls for Daughters® and Toys for Boys® drive is now a part of our office holiday season tradition. All of us at the firm have children who are important to us—our kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. In fact, we’ve had a “banner crop” this year. Two members of our team each welcomed twins to their families this year, a pair of daughters, and a pair of granddaughters, And another member of our team has a baby on the way!

And for those of us whose children are a bit older, The Doll and Toy drive lets us continue to have the joy of finding little child toys and imagining them being opened. Our holiday shopping is not over until we bring in our toys for the drive, and the growing stack of brightly wrapped presents in the office helps keep the spirit strong.

We would be happy for our neighbors in Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, or anywhere in the area to drop your wrapped, new gifts for area children at our office, to be delivered to Dolls for Daughters® and Toys for Boys® in time to brighten the season for those in need.

Especially this year, when so many of our fellow Coloradans are in particular need.

Dolls for Daughters® is so thankful for the continued support of Gilbert, Ollanik, and Komyatte, P.C.. If you live near their office, please drop off your new toy today! The Dolls for Daughters® and Toys for Boys® Toy Drive accepts new toys for boys and girls ages birth to 18. These toys will be given away on December 11, 2010 to children and families in need.

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
