COSMETIC DENTISTRY OF COLORADO—OUR APRIL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Cosmetic Dentistry of Colorado has been supporting Dolls for Daughters® as a Bowl a Thon sponsor for several years. With last year’s annual toy shop when we started our toothbrush/toothpaste program, Cosmetic Dentistry of Colorado began supporting it. We are grateful to have them as a continuing supporter of the work we do.

1. Why did you decide to offer support to Dolls for Daughters®?

We love the idea of helping so many children. Dr. Radz and his wife lost a daughter shortly after birth and support what Jessica is doing.

2. How long has your business supported Dolls for Daughters®?

We’ve been involved for several years.

3. What is your most memorable experience supporting Dolls for Daughters®?

Knowing that many children will have a memorable holiday season from the kindness of Dolls for Daughters® is what is so special.

4. Have you participated in any fundraising events that Dolls for Daughters® has held?

Yes several.

5. Have you or your staff volunteered at the Dolls for Daughters® and Toys for Boys® Toy Shop? If so what was your experience?

Yes. A group has helped the last two years and loved it!  They all raved about how organized the event was, how many people were helped out and how smoothly it all ran.

6. With so many organizations in need of support, what suggestions or advice do you have for other organizations? How might they choose an organization as well as the way(s) in which they will help?

Explain why as an organization you do what you do. The fact that Dr. Radz and his wife had a similar experience to Jessica helped them bond with her and her organization.

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
