Daisy troop #3526 Donates Dolls

SDC14289Dolls for Daughters® was so pleased to learn that Girl Scout Daisy Troop #3526 decided to support Dolls for Daughters® this year. Here is a message about the girls from Lynn Rickman, Co-leader:

“The girl scout Daisy troop #3526 really enjoyed collecting dolls for the doll drive this year. Each girl excitedly brought a doll to the December troop meeting to give other girls that otherwise might not get a doll this year. The group of 9 girls, made up of kindergarteners and first graders from Summit View Elementary in Highlands Ranch, Colorado learned how some little girls might not have a doll to open during the holiday season. Each girl hugged their dolly goodbye with hopes that it would brighten a little girl’s day.”SDC14290

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
