Kenzi’s Causes raises over $120,000 at annual Bidz4Kidz and Golf4Kidz fundraisers!

What started as one mother’s grieving response to the death of a daughter has grown into one of Denver’s most respected nonprofits serving needy children. Kenzi’s Causes, formerly known as Dolls For Daughters, a Denver-based non-profit that has served more than 65,000 low-income children, raised over $120,000 at its annual Bidz4Kidz Gala & Golf4Kidz event over the weekend . The Bidz4Kidz Gala was held June 8th at the Four Season Hotel Denver and was emceed by Kyle Dyer with Reed Saunders handling the live auction duties.  The Golf4Kidz scrambler, with over 90 golfers participating, was held on June 7th at Legacy Ridge Golf Course. Nearly 300 people attended both events over the weekend in celebration of the organization serving 65,210 children in the last 10 years. Founder and Executive Director, Jessica Bachus was honored for her dedication to serving Colorado communities along with Erik Carruth from Safelite Autoglass for being a Champion4Kidz. Funds raised at both events with go towards providing 2,500 children with backpacks full of school supplies in August and toys for over 15,000 children for the holidays. For information on giving to Kenzi’s Causes and its programs, visit https://kenziscauses.org Dolls for Daughters was founded in 2007 after Jessica Bachus’ daughter Kenzi was stillborn at 24 weeks. Overcome with grief, Jessica felt compelled to channel her emotions into something that would honor Kenzi’s memory. With this notion, Kenzi’s Causes was created so that Jessica and her family could provide dolls to young girls at Christmastime who would otherwise go without. Jessica collected over 150 dolls the first year and since then Kenzi’s Causes has expanded, providing support to over 65,000 children across Colorado.  Jessica and her husband Kyle have three living children and are dedicated to serving the community they live in.

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
