Kenzi’s Causes raises over $49,000 at Annual Golf4Kidz event for annual holiday distribution in 6 Colorado communities

DENVER, August 31, 2020 – What started as one mother’s grieving response to the death of a daughter has grown into one of Denver’s most respected nonprofits serving needy children. Kenzi’s Causes, formerly known as Dolls for Daughters, a Denver-based non-profit that has served more than 84,000 low-income children, raised over $49,000 at its 10th annual Golf4Kidz event over the weekend. The Golf4Kidz scrambler, had over 100 golfers participate and was held on August 28th at Thorncreek Golf Course. The event was made possible by the support of our generous sponsors: The Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation, Safelite AutoGlass, MedPort, Great West Petroleum, Mountain View Pain Center, Evans Case, Effectv, Reid Oilfield, Archer and KB Digital Designs. In addition to sponsors, over $5,000 in raffle items and prizes were given to golfers. Funds raised from this event will go towards providing Christmas gifts for over 15,000 underprivileged children for the holidays throughout Colorado. “As an organization we see the impact COVID-19 has had on families in our community and I am so grateful for everyone who came out to support our 10th annual Golf4Kidz event. The event was different from years past, but the fun remained the same all while staying safe.” – Jessica Bachus, Founder & Executive Director of Kenzi’s Causes For information on Kenzi’s Causes and additional opportunities for local support and involvement through Corporate Sponsorships, donation drives and volunteerism, visit https://kenziscauses.org Kenzi’s Causes was founded in 2007 after Jessica Bachus’ daughter Kenzi was stillborn at 24 weeks. Overcome with grief, Jessica felt compelled to channel her emotions into something that would honor Kenzi’s memory. With this notion, Kenzi’s Causes was created so that Jessica and her family could provide dolls to young girls at Christmastime who would otherwise go without. Jessica collected over 150 dolls the first year and since then Kenzi’s Causes has expanded, providing support to over 84,000 children across Colorado.  Jessica and her husband Kyle have three living children and are dedicated to serving the community they live in.

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
