Kenzi’s Kidz Family

The Kenzi’s Kidz program will wrap up its first year on July 31, 2011. It has been an amazing experience getting to know Marcellina and her children. What is more amazing is how kind, loving and hard working Marcellina is. She wants nothing but the best for her four children and is working hard to create a good life for them.

Marcellina and her family became part of the Kenzi’s Kidz program August 2010. Warren Village nominates families to our program and our board selects the family we will be helping for a year. This past year we have helped celebrate a new school year, dance classes, soccer teams, the holidays, and birthdays. Our foundation has been able to provide Marcellina and her family with activities that would have to be put on hold until she finishes school.

In Marcellina’s own words, “I am a single mother of four awesome kids. Times are hard for everyone and in some cases getting worse. My family has been truely blessed to have recieved the love and generosity of this organization. Dolls For Daughters And Kenzis Kids is an all around family helping group. There is yet to be a need or desire that my family has asked or wished for, which has not been fulfilled. I thank you all for the fun you have provided with birthday parties, a family zoo membership, water world passes, shoes, clothing, dressers and the smiles you have brought my children! God bless all of you, and thanks for showing my family that there are people who care and share with strangers. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!”

We are excited to announce the expansion of the Kenzi’s Kidz program this year. We will select two families this year, one with Warren Village and one with Joshua Station. Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
