More Than a Partnership: How Boxstars and Local Moving, LLC Became Part of the Kenzi’s Causes Family

At Kenzi’s Causes, we are fortunate to work alongside many incredible partners—but every once in a while, a partnership comes along that truly transforms how we operate, how we serve, and how we grow. That has been our experience with Boxstars and Local Moving, LLC. Our partnership with Boxstars and Local Moving, LLC began in the fall of 2024, without any expectation of just how much of an impact these companies—and even more importantly, their employees—would have on our organization. From the very beginning, Boxstars stepped up in ways that immediately changed our operations. They allowed us to store a donated trailer at their location, welcomed shipments directly to their warehouse, and ensured items were carefully loaded into the trailer by their team. When we dropped off additional items for storage, they were there—ready, willing, and supportive. We thought 2024 showed us the best of Boxstars. It turns out, that was just the beginning. In 2025, the true depth of this partnership became clear. All of our Packz4Kidz backpack orders were shipped directly to the Boxstars warehouse, where their team helped organize and prepare them for distribution to our partner agencies. On distribution day, we were welcomed with a cooler full of drinks, hands-on support from their staff, and pizza at the end of a long day. These thoughtful gestures made a demanding day feel supported, appreciated, and collaborative. For our Packz4Kidz Denver event, the Boxstars and Local Moving, LLC teams went above and beyond—moving thousands of backpacks to the event space, assisting with setup, and continuing to show up whenever we needed help. As we transitioned into Toy Shop season—our busiest time of year—their support only grew stronger. They received shipment after shipment, donated an additional trailer when the first was filled, and even stored our Kenzi’s Causes van to prevent further damage. The Local Moving, LLC team showed up to our Bike Build event and insisted on loading the trucks themselves. They picked up toy donations—more than once—from Freddy’s locations across the city. They transported trailers to and from event sites, helped unload and set up, volunteered during events, and never once hesitated to step in. What stands out most is not just what they did—but how they did it. With generosity. With care. With a true sense of ownership and pride in the work. The team members at Boxstars and Local Moving, LLC are not just partners. They are part of our TEAM. Their commitment has strengthened our operations, expanded our capacity, and allowed us to serve more children and families with dignity and efficiency. Words will never adequately express how grateful we are for their support. If you or your organization ever need storage or moving services, these are the people we would call—without hesitation. Thank you, Boxstars and Local Moving, LLC, for believing in our mission, standing beside us, and helping us change lives together.

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
