Saunders Construction Clay Shoot: A Big Win for Colorado Kids

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=""]On October 3, 2025, 240 guests gathered at Long Meadow Game Resort & Event Center – Northern Colorado Sporting Clays Course for the Saunders Construction Clay Shoot benefiting Kenzi’s Causes. From the first shot to the last high-five, the energy was incredible—and all of it aimed at one goal: helping 18,000 children experience the magic of the holidays with gifts they might not otherwise receive. We’re humbled and grateful to share that the event raised over $88,000 to fuel our Toy Shop program this season. Every target broken helps us break down barriers for kids across Colorado.

Why It Matters

This fall and winter, families across Colorado are facing tough choices. Thanks to the incredible turnout and support at the Clay Shoot, our Toy Shop events will put smiles on the faces of 18,000 children—with new gifts chosen with care, dignity, and love. That kind of joy sticks with a child long after the holidays end.

A Partnership We’re Proud Of

Our two-year partnership with Saunders Construction has already made a measurable impact on our programs. Their leadership—along with the sponsors and teams who joined them—has helped us serve more families, reach more communities, and plan for an even brighter season ahead. We’re honored to stand side-by-side with you in this work.

Thank You

To every shooter, sponsor, volunteer, and friend who showed up—you made this day unforgettable. Because of you, thousands of children will feel seen, celebrated, and supported this holiday season. About the Author

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
