Tea Parties a Success

Mother and Daughter duo Yesterday was the second of two tea parties held at Wystone’s World Teas to benefit Dolls for Daughters®. On Saturday three young girls and their dolls showed up for tea with mothers, grandmothers and even a daddy. It was also wonderful to see an adult Mother/Daughter duo join the event. This event was for Mother’s and Daughter’s but was nice to see how each group put their own touch on the event.
It was a very nice to share my story about Kenzi and the reason for Dolls for Daughters® with everyone at both events. Many of the girls both days wanted to know where the dolls they brought were going. I explained about the collection of dolls in 2007 and 2008 and how the dolls were given to The Samaritan House, SafeHouse Denver, The Gathering Place and The Denver East Collaborative. Dolls for Daughters® is very excited that we have already started our doll collection for the 2009 Holiday Season and look forward to donating the dolls that were collected at the Tea Parties. Thank you to everyone who attended the Tea Parties, we hope to see you in the future at more Dolls for Daughter’s events.
Here are some pictures from our event on Saturday, June 27, 2009. Smile

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
