Volunteer Spotlight: Kristy Steele

For many, the month of February is known for being a month dedicated to all things love! But this month is not only about romance but also about fostering relationships with our family, friends, and community. Just ask our friend and dedicated volunteer, Kristy Steele, who fundamentally believes in helping build and support her community because of her love of giving back! Kristy was first introduced to Kenzi’s Causes through her friend, who also serves as a board member for the organization. Within one year, Kristy has powerfully demonstrated her love of giving back and has made a significant impact! Kristy first attended and contributed to our annual Bidz 4 Kidz charity fundraiser. From there, she became even more involved by hosting her own fundraiser at her place of work, Garlock Orthodontics.  

“We did a fundraiser for Kenzi’s Causes for our business anniversary, and I wanted to see where the money went. It was satisfying to see how our small contribution was part of such a big impact on children during the holidays.”

  In addition to hosting her fundraiser, Kristy joined us as a volunteer at one of our Toy drive initiatives this past holiday season. When we asked what her most memorable experience was, she said  

“Witnessing a dad in tears, thanking a fellow volunteer for helping him provide gifts for his children during a challenging time.”

  We are honored and grateful to be able to work with such dedicated community members like Kristy. Because of her passion for service and love of giving back, we can reach and impact more families in our Colorado communities.
