Volunteer Spotlight: Toni Getz

This September, we at Kenzi’s Causes want to take the opportunity to thank one of our incredible volunteers, Toni Getz, for her contributions to our events and commitment to serving our kids and families. We couldn’t do this work without you and volunteers like you! Toni has been volunteering for Kenzi’s Causes for the greater part of a year, having learned about us through a friend who donated to one of our toy drives. Nevertheless, Toni has made her mark in her relatively short time with our organization. She currently sponsors a Kenzi’s Kidz, and they have developed a strong bond. Toni is drawn to support Kenzi’s Causes in particular because she can see the impact of her contributions. She loves getting to interact with our kids and families directly through sponsorship and events, and though Toni participates in Kenzi’s Causes work in order to serve others, she often finds herself feeling mutually inspired. Toni has donated her time to help us put together several, incredible events. She has spent time sorting toys and food from our drives, helping fill school backpacks, and participating in our fundraising efforts. As a small organization, we would not be able to make these kinds of events happen successfully without the continued help of volunteers like Toni. Thank you for everything that you do!

About the Author

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
