LONGMONT, Colo. – Kenzi’s Causes proudly hosted its first-ever Packz4Kidz backpack distribution event in Longmont on Tuesday, July 21, at Casa de la Esperanza, providing 129 children from 59 local families with new backpacks filled with school supplies to help them start the upcoming school year prepared for success.

The event marked an exciting expansion of Kenzi’s Causes’ Packz4Kidz program, which provides essential school supplies to children from low-income families throughout Colorado. By helping families offset the rising cost of back-to-school shopping, the organization ensures students have the tools they need to feel confident and ready to learn on the first day of school.

“We are thrilled to have brought our Packz4Kidz program to Longmont for the very first time,” said Julie Palmer, Events & Programs Director of Kenzi’s Causes. “Every child deserves to begin the school year with the supplies they need to succeed. Seeing the smiles on the faces of these children and their families reminds us why this program is so important.”

Kenzi’s Causes extends its sincere gratitude to Intrado for generously donating the backpacks and school supplies that made this event possible. Their commitment to supporting local children helped ensure that more than one hundred students will head back to school equipped for success.

The organization also thanks Casa de la Esperanza for partnering to host the event and for its continued dedication to serving families in the Longmont community.

As the need for school supplies continues to grow, Kenzi’s Causes hopes to expand its impact in Longmont and serve even more children next year through additional community partnerships and donor support.

Since 2009, Kenzi’s Causes has worked to remove barriers for children and families across Colorado through programs that provide school supplies, holiday assistance, sports opportunities, and other essential resources.
