Champions of Cheer: Air Academy Credit Union Role in Creating Holiday Magic

As the holiday season approaches, Kenzi's Causes becomes a hub of bustling activity in November. We are grateful to those who have supported our mission and made it possible year after year.  Among them, Air Academy Credit Union (AACU) stands out not just as a sponsor but as a true partner in our efforts to bring joy to under-resourced families during a time that can be financially stressful. Since 2017, AACU has stood by Kenzi's Causes, embodying the essence of community partnership. Their active involvement in our yearly toy drives offers hope for families, especially the 63% of families earning $20,000 or less that we served during our 2022 toy drive program. Madison Vistuba, AACU's Marketing Coordinator, eloquently expresses this feeling:

The dedication of AACU employees towards the Toy Shop is truly admirable and serves as a great inspiration for everyone. With the holiday season approaching, the excitement among the staff to volunteer is palpable. This enthusiasm reflects the culture of giving back deeply ingrained in the company. "We saw a need to bring the Toy Shop to Colorado Springs and wanted to get involved," Madison recalls. This spirit of proactive kindness has driven AACU to collect toys at their branch locations and be present, hands-on, at our events. The AACU team doesn't just witness the joy their efforts bring; they are an integral part of it. Madison shares a glimpse into the heart of their volunteerism:

"Every year our employees are so excited to volunteer at the Toy Shop- as we get closer to the holiday season, employees ask when the sign-up will open to volunteer! Experiencing the direct impact really motivates our employees to give back."

As we aim to serve 18,000 children this year, AACU's role in our mission is more important than ever. Their efforts in fundraising, toy collection, and volunteer work echo our call to action for the community to donate and collect toys.
