When Volunteers Get The Recognition They Deserve
After 10 years of constant giving to Kenzi’s Causes, Katie Bradshaw is getting the recognition she truly deserves! The Mayor of Denver proclaimed 1/23/20 as “Katie Bradshaw Day” at the Minoru Yasui Community Volunteer Award ceremony held in January. Katie has used her business, KB Digital Designs for good by capturing beautiful images over the last 10 years for our organization. If there was an event, Katie was there and without her help, we wouldn’t be able to share our experiences and memories with all of you.
With the award came a $2,000 grant to Kenzi’s Causes. January 23rd also happens to be my Kenzi's birthday, which is the inspiration for the mission of this organization. To say this grant runs deeper than most is an understatement. We are encouraged every day to work harder and fulfill our mission by watching our volunteers continuously show up, regardless of rewards and recognition. It’s a humbling thing to be a part of and we do not take any of you for granted.
We are thankful that our community provides a reward to the hard-working volunteers of the Denver metropolitan area. If you know someone who deserves their “day” next, visit the website to fill out a recipient form!
