Shattering Barriers: Auto Glass Now's Commitment to Community

In the bustling world of automotive care, Auto Glass Now stands out not just for its dedication to safety and service but for its profound commitment to community involvement. Erik Carruth, a Director of Commercial Sales at Auto Glass Now, shares the company’s mission, "We are dedicated to providing the lowest price guaranteed with high-quality, fast auto glass and windshield replacement services. We want you to get back on the road quickly and safely." For Auto Glass Now, community service is not just an add-on—it's an essential part of their business ethos. Erik explains, "It could not be more important for an organization to give back to their community...especially an organization like Kenzi's Causes. We could not be prouder to support an organization that gives so much back, not just in one city but all across Colorado." This dedication to communal welfare inspired the company to align with Kenzi’s Causes, driven by a desire to make a tangible impact. Auto Glass Now has been a supporter of Kenzi's Causes for the past year, participating actively through event sponsorships like Golf 4 Kidz and Gala 4 Kidz, and engaging directly by volunteering at Packz 4 Kidz and our annual Toy Shops. Erik also supports the Kenzi’s Kidz program as a Miracle Maker and serves on the board as treasurer, highlighting a commitment to improving children's lives across Colorado. One particularly touching moment for Erik was when his triplets participated in a Toy Shop event organized by Kenzi's Causes. Witnessing his children helping other kids select toys and realizing the significant difference they were making was a profound experience for the entire family. Erik recalls, "My daughter came up to me and said, 'Dad, I was giving out toys to kids our own age.' This was a realization of how fortunate they are but, more importantly, the importance of giving back." This experience inspired his children to donate all the toys from their next birthday party to Kenzi’s Causes, a gesture that filled Erik with immense pride.

Erik advises other businesses considering community involvement, "Your teammates crave to give back to something bigger than themselves. Supporting an organization where you live and work brings a team closer together and more engaged not only in what they do for 'Work' but also what your organization is doing for their community."

About the Author

Kenzi's Causes

In 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi's Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
