What It’s Like to Be a Board Member With Kenzi’s Causes

At Kenzi’s Causes, we’re on a mission to put a smile on the faces of low-income children in Colorado, because we believe it matters. So much of the incredible work we’re able to do is made possible by our phenomenal board members, so we thought it would be important to share some of their stories with you, so you can have a better understanding of what it’s really like to be a board member with Kenzi’s Causes.

What It’s Like to Be a Board Member for Kenzi’s Causes

Becoming a board member is a chance to use your unique gifts and talents to support an organization you believe in. For Erik Carruth, joining the Kenzi’s Causes Board was exactly that which then led to so much more.  

Erik shares, “The heart of our community is big and strong. That is shown not only from the individuals that volunteer at the events....but also take part in the events...as well as the individuals that are supported by the events. It just warms my heart to see a group of individuals come together as a community to help those that need it.”

  What’s a day in the life look like for one of our board members? Well, you could be working on a number of initiatives! From big-picture planning and strategy for the future of Kenzi’s Causes to meeting families and even rolling up your sleeves to pack backpacks – our board members truly do it all, and we could not be more grateful.
