Kenzi’s Causes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children in need throughout Colorado, proudly celebrates its 15th anniversary with a remarkable fundraising achievement. This month, Kenzi’s Causes raised an impressive $292,246 through its annual Golf4Kidz event held on June 14, 2024, and the Gala4Kidz event on June 22, 2024. These successful events brought together 142 participants and 150 guests, respectively, demonstrating the community’s steadfast commitment to the organization’s mission.

Kenzi’s Causes, founded with the mission to provide low-income children and their families with enriching experiences, basic necessities, and essential support, continues to make a significant impact across Colorado. This year’s fundraising efforts will enable the organization to serve more than 24,000 children through its various programs in 2024.

The funds raised from Golf4Kidz and Gala4Kidz will support Kenzi’s Causes’ programs, including the Packz4Kidz backpack program, which supplies thousands of children with school supplies, and Kenzi’s Kidz, which offers comprehensive assistance to low-income families. These programs play a crucial role in alleviating financial burdens, providing educational and extracurricular opportunities, and fostering a stable environment for children’s growth and development.

Kenzi’s Causes was founded in 2007 after Jessica Bachus’ daughter Kenzi was stillborn at 24 weeks. Overcome with grief, Jessica felt compelled to channel her emotions into something that would honor Kenzi’s memory. With this notion, Kenzi’s Causes was created so that Jessica and her family could provide dolls to young girls at Christmastime who would otherwise go without. Jessica collected over 150 dolls the first year and since then Kenzi’s Causes has expanded, providing support to over 175,000 children across Colorado.  Jessica and her husband Kyle have three living children and are dedicated to serving the community they live in.
