Our Kenzi’s Kidz Events are special! Here’s a closer look into the kind of impact they really make…

We all enjoy a chance to connect with our community and relax in a low-pressure environment. Whether you enjoy spending time with friends, playing a sport or doing another activity, events both big and small are a chance to be yourself while doing something fun.

We know it can be easy to dismiss events as just frivolous activities, but there’s something much greater going on beyond the surface of a nice meal or fun activity. Events are actually an opportunity to discover a deeper sense of connection and community and gain the knowledge that you are not alone.

That’s why we’ve put such a high priority on creating amazing event experiences for our Kenzi’s Kidz Families! It’s easy to lose sight of events amidst all the other incredible things that are happening at Kenzi’s Causes, which is why we wanted to shed extra light on one family for whom our monthly Kenzi’s Kidz events made a massive impact!

 

Meet Amber & Francisco Torres and Their Children

Hennesy (2nd grade), and Toretto (1st grade) have been a Kenzi’s Kidz Family for six years now! We have loved having them as a part of our bigger family for all these years.

For their family – as is the case with many families nowadays – life can get very busy. Hennesy loves studying for school and has started to learn volleyball. Toretto is starting basketball and loves to do artwork. Meanwhile, Francisco works full time and Amber is going back to school to become an educator. 

We’re sure many of you can relate. For any family with multiple little ones, you know how busy life can get. It can be challenging for any family to find time to slow down and connect with each other around what matters most – much less have time to connect with other families going through similar things.

The problem is, those moments of connection are typically the very thing that helps the stressful moments to not be so stressful. That’s why we find it incredibly important for our Kenzi’s Kidz Families to connect with each other as much as possible.

And one of the ways we foster that extra sense of connection is through our Kenzi’s Kidz Monthly Events.

 

“Kenzi’s Causes has made an impact on my family’s life by helping us out in every way they can. Having events for the families to take their children to. They are so wonderful because they help families out as much as they can. I am so thankful that they are here to help us out.” said Amber.

 

For us at Kenzi’s Causes, being able to host our families through these events truly means the world. We take pride in being able to serve our families and ensure they have the absolute best experience – no matter what they are going through behind closed doors. 

 

“This year has been a hard time for my family,” said Amber. “…I am so happy that Kenzi’s Causes was there during this time for my family. They are a great support system not just for the things that give us but to be there if you need someone.”

 

Thousands of Children Are Impacted by our 3 programs each year!

An amazing example of a recent Kenzi’s Causes program that made an impact was our holiday toy drive in 2021. Our final Toy Shop program numbers are 17,028 children served in the state! This is a record-breaking number for 2021!

And, it’s not just our toy drive events that make an impact. We impacted 23,448 children this year through all 3 of our programs!

Those numbers not only represent families impacted by fun and community, they also represent families who needed support and were able to be impacted by material needs, too. 

 

“The food that they give us has helped us out to get through the month. Just anything that they send in our email about events to gifts and more. It has helped us out so much.” said Amber.

Our 13th Annual Bowl 4 Kidz fundraiser will be held on March 12, 2022.

Our 11th Annual Golf 4 Kidz fundraiser will be held on June 17, 2022.

Our 11th Annual Bidz 4 Kidz fundraiser will be held on September 24, 2022.
