Aurora, CO – What started as one mother’s grieving response to the death of a daughter has grown into one of Denver’s most respected nonprofits serving needy children.
More than 130 participants took to the course at Thorncreek Golf Course on Friday, June 16th to raise over $88,000 for Kenzi’s Causes. The event had lots of fun ranging from a golf pro taking a swing for you, putting contest, games and giveaways and Titos was on site with fresh beverages. The Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation sponsored the Golf4Kidz event and proceeds from the event will fund the 2023 Pack4Kidz event.
“Our goal is to serve 6,500 children through our Annual Packz4Kidz event and partnering nonprofits across Colorado this year and the Golf4Kidz event is a great to start our fundraising efforts. Our goal is to make sure all kids have a new backpack and school supplies to start the school year.” -Jessica Bachus, Founder & Executive Director
Golf4Kidz has served primarily as a community event where golfers can give back while having fun; however, thanks to the generous support of participants and sponsors, it has grown to become an important fundraiser for the organization. Golf4Kidz offers many opportunities for local support and involvement; Corporate Sponsorships, foursomes, and raffle items donated by businesses and individuals. This year, over $10,000 in items were donated to the raffle ranging from gift cards to ipads and there were nineteen event Sponsors:

Kenzi’s Causes was founded in 2007 after Jessica Bachus’ daughter Kenzi was stillborn at 24 weeks. Overcome with grief, Jessica felt compelled to channel her emotions into something that would honor Kenzi’s memory. With this notion, Kenzi’s Causes was created so that Jessica and her family could provide dolls to young girls at Christmastime who would otherwise go without. Jessica collected over 150 dolls the first year and since then Kenzi’s Causes has expanded, providing support to over 150,000 children across Colorado. Jessica and her husband Kyle have three living children and are dedicated to serving the community they live in.
