For the Pierce family, Kenzi’s Causes is more than an organization—it’s a lifeline of hope and community.
Terri Pierce and her three sons—Brandon (18, a college freshman), Bradon (16, a high school
sophomore), and Bryce (14, a high school freshman)—have experienced the transformative impact of
Kenzi’s Kidz Program firsthand.
The Pierces value their family time, whether it’s playing video games, sports in the park, drawing, or enjoying family game nights after cooking dinner. Despite these simple joys, Terri often worried about how to provide for her growing boys.
Before joining Kenzi’s Kidz, Terri faced constant anxiety about making ends meet. “Before, I worried about where and how I would provide what my family needed,” she recalls. With three teenage boys, the costs of school supplies, food, and necessities added up quickly. Kenzi’s Kidz alleviated these worries by providing essential support like new backpacks, school supplies, Christmas gifts, birthday gift cards, and access to food and health supplies. This support allows the Pierces to focus on being together rather than on financial stress.
Through Kenzi’s Kidz, the family has enjoyed memorable moments at events like bowling, which provide opportunities to connect with other families and donors, fostering a sense of community and belonging. “Having an extended family, seeing the kids grow, and not worrying as much about the essentials,” Terri notes, has brought peace and joy to her family.
A standout example of the program’s impact is Brandon Pierce. His recent graduation from high school and journey to college is a testament to his hard work and the support from Kenzi’s Causes. As highlighted in “Kenzi’s Kidz to the Stars: Brandon Pierce’s Graduation Journey”, Brandon’s achievements reflect the power of encouragement, resources, and opportunities provided by a supportive community.
The Kenzi’s Kidz Program is about more than just material needs; it’s about fostering a community of love and compassion. “I know we have the support of Kenzi’s Causes if we run into a need I can’t provide—that they’ll be there for us,” Terri says. This reassurance has lifted a weight off her shoulders.
Terri is particularly grateful to Jessica Bachus, the founder of Kenzi’s Causes. “Jessica is an amazing person and created Kenzi’s Causes out of this loss. She has impacted so many and is so extremely loved,” she shares. “We are blessed by being a part of this family.”
