What does it mean to live life with a fulfilled heart? At its core, living with a fulfilled heart means feeling satisfied with life’s journey and feeling connected to others and the world around us. To lead a life with a fulfilled heart, it’s crucial to identify the things that bring you personal happiness and joy. Zoe Gentry, a volunteer for Kenzi’s Causes, finds joy and happiness in helping children and families that are less fortunate.
Zoe has been volunteering with Kenzi’s Causes for more than two years. She learned about the Packz 4 Kidz program while attending a function for her children. Overhearing founder Jessica Bachus discussing the organization’s programs with another parent, Zoe was impressed by the program’s reach in providing for children.
As Zoe grew to know the families Kenzi’s Causes served, she fell in love with their mission and decided to volunteer more regularly. Even with a busy schedule and a family to care for, she always makes time for it. She shares,
“The joy that it brings to me to see the smile on a child’s face as they are handed a backpack filled with new school supplies or a parent receiving resources or gifts for their children brings such fulfillment to me. It’s an amazing feeling to just take time to volunteer to make a difference in a family that is less fortunate.”
Through her two years of volunteering, Zoe has participated in Packz4kidz, Trunk or Treat, Toy Shop, breakfast with Santa, birthday celebrations, and Bidz4kidz events. Zoe’s dedication and commitment to our causes stem from shared values. Here is her advice on why everyone should find a cause to support,
“It’s so important for everyone to give back to their community. You have to find an organization that means something to you and volunteer to see if that non-profit aligns with your values.”
We are grateful to have Zoe as a dedicated volunteer at Kenzi’s Causes. Her insights are greatly appreciated, and we hope her advice can inspire others to give back to their community. We are excited to have Zoe join us at our Packz4Kidz event in August, where we aim to reach 6,500 children across Colorado.
