After so much time apart, we’re more grateful than ever for opportunities to spend time together.
For many, the past few years have felt both lonely and isolating making even the simplest parts of life especially challenging and unenjoyable.
That’s why, At Kenzi’s Causes, we want you to know that you’re never alone.
It’s incredibly important to us to create a sense of belonging and community for those in our Kenzi’s Kidz Families. We all desire happiness and fun in time spent together — and that’s something we’ve been able to provide this year through our Kenzi’s Kidz events.
As we reflect, we wanted to take this time to introduce you to one of our Kenzi’s Kidz Families who have found happiness, fun, and connection throughout our events.
Meet Kacey Riley & Her Family
Kacey Riley and her family of 7 already have a busy household. With kids ages 19, 14, 12, 10, 9, and 7, life is never anything short of fast-paced.
But as many know, busyness does not always equal connection. And sometimes, the best way to get to connect with those who you love the most is through activities that get everyone in the family involved.
Kacey has been a part of our Kenzi’s Kidz Program for 1 year now. When we asked her about her experience with Kenzi’s Causes, she said one of her favorite parts of the experience has been, “When we are able, we like to go out on outings like the zoo, skating, mall and out to eat.”
On the surface, activities might seem like nothing more than just that – activities. But to us at Kenzi’s Causes and to our Kenzi’s Kidz Families, these activities mean so much more.
“Having the opportunity to do more activities with the kids…makes them happy,” said Kacey.
When we hear something like that, we absolutely light up inside.
The reality is, so many of us take for granted fun outings, family time, and the little things in life that make a big difference.
The ability to bring our Kenzi’s Kidz Families happiness through those simple activities like Bowling Nights and Roller Skating is nothing short of pure joy for us. Providing an opportunity for our Kenzi’s Kidz Families to connect in a stress-free environment and have some fun together without having to worry about the outside world is so much of the heart behind our mission.
And the best part is…
Fun Activities Are Only The Very Beginning
Beyond activities, Kenzi’s Causes is also able to provide resources for our Kenzi’s Kidz Families that could otherwise be challenging to come by.
For us, it’s about both taking care of both the tangible and intangible needs of our Kenzi’s Kidz Families.
“[What’s been most beneficial is Kenzi’s Causes] making sure the kids have clothes for school, household items, food, and keeping the kids happy with fun activities,” said Kacey.
That’s the power of Kenzi’s Causes – the ability to both provide resources that are important while at the same time creating a space for happiness and fun to be cultivated in a stress-free environment. Both of those things matter to us – and they matter to our Kenzi’s Kidz Families, too.
