Jennifer Rettig, a former producer at CBS News, is being recognized for her selfless contributions to Kenzi’s Causes, a nonprofit that supports underprivileged children and families in Colorado. Rettig has been donating her photographic and video skills to the organization for ten years, helping to create meaningful videos that inspire individuals to focus, participate, and contribute. Her work has been instrumental in getting the organization’s message out to the community, and her family portraits of participants have brought joy and smiles to families who may not have had the opportunity to have their pictures taken otherwise. Rettig’s dedication and talent have earned her the April Recipient of the Minoru Yasui Volunteer Award, which celebrates volunteers who give their time, energy, and hearts to nonprofits that change the lives of so many. This article provides more details about Rettig’s contributions to Kenzi’s Causes and the impact of the organization on the community. [1]

https://kenziscauses.orgIn 2007, Jessica Bachus started Dolls for Daughters®, after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn. She created an annual holiday Toy Drive for Colorado children who would not otherwise have toys during the holidays. Today, Kenzi’s Causes collects more than 100,000 toys, stocking stuffers, books, toothbrush/toothpaste kits, backpacks, lunch boxes and other items to change the lives of children in Colorado through our programs. At this annual event, families are also provided with community resources to help improve their lives and the lives of their children.
