We Love Our Kenzi’s Causes Sponsors
From hosting events to delivering backpacks and serving our families well, we love the work we get to do at Kenzi’s Causes every day.
But the reality is – serving in the way we serve can be time-consuming and costly, and we need the help and support from our incredible volunteers and sponsors alike to make serving the families in our community possible.
So we wanted to take some time to celebrate one of our sponsors (and volunteers!) with you – Erik Carruth at Safelite AutoGlass.
Meet Erik Carruth at Safelite AutoGlass
For the past four years, we’ve had the privilege of working with Erik Carruth at Safelite AutoGlass in many capacities at Kenzi’s Causes.
While at a random work meeting, Erik happened to share Safelite’s mission: “Making a Difference to Bring Unexpected Happiness to People’s Everyday Lives.”
Knowing that mission aligns so well with Kenzi’s Causes – one of Erik’s colleagues introduced him to Jessica of Kenzi’s Causes, and the rest is history!
You’ve probably seen Safelite AutoGlass around, as they help Kenzi’s Causes with storage and transportation needs across the state. In addition, they are a statewide sponsor of our organization, sponsor all of our fundraising events, and are the Presenting Sponsor for Bowl4Kidz.
Their contribution truly allows the Kenzi’s Causes team to operate and serve on such a massive scale because they make their resources available to us, too! But this story is about so much more than opening up logistical possibilities – it’s about the lives impacted along the way.
“In a simple word…WOW.”
That’s how Erik felt upon learning about Kenzi’s Causes. He said, “The passion that Jessica has is ever spreading and that spreads not only to the board of directors that works with Jessica…but the families and children that we serve. You cannot help but be moved by her…to be unselfish with her time and treasure. Each and every child and family that this organization helps make a huge difference in their lives.”
Finding an opportunity to serve your local community – whatever that looks like for you – doesn’t just have an impact on the community you’re serving…
It has an impact on you, too.
The chance to work with people going through a hard time and make their day a bit brighter is so rewarding and the ripple effect is unreal. Erik distinctly remembers a time shopping in a toy store with a Kenzi’s Causes family and his own.
During their day of shopping, Erik’s own daughter came up to him and said, “Dad, we are really doing a good thing here.”
Erik reflected, “I am sure there were other things said…but that line has stood out in my mind that my kids understand the value of giving back and giving back to something bigger than yourself at an early age. Just affirmed that I may be doing ok as a parent and as a human being.”
That affirmation of seeing your good work make such a vast impact is so rewarding – you have to see it for yourself to understand how great it feels.

So much of the incredible work we are able to do at Kenzi’s Causes is directly because of the support we have from our phenomenal sponsors, and we could always use additional support!
Erik shared, “I personally and professionally feel that it is our duty as effective members of society and corporate responsibility to give back to our community and make a positive difference within it.”
Erik, we could not appreciate that sentiment more.
