In 2003, the Colorado legislature repealed its auto laws, going from a personal injury protection state to tort essentially overnight. This left hundreds of thousands of individuals without the medical treatment that they needed. This is where Injury Finance kicks in; Dr. Burke was practicing as a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician in Denver. After hearing news of how this Legislative change is affecting his patients, he was devastated. This is when he and Krista Meardon took a stand and began figuring out how to provide these people with quality healthcare. Just like that, they created a business plan that would focus on building relationships that aligned the interests of individuals involved in personal injury cases, the law firms that represent them, and the medical providers that treat them.
Our connection
Injury Finance & Kenzi’s Causes, both based in Colorado, share similar goals, to help those who can’t help themselves. Kenzi’s Causes and Injury Finances were built on heartbreaking moments. This gives these companies even more courage to keep doing all the good they possibly can. Injury Finance has been a long-time supporter for over a year.
