When Emilia became a mom at 18, she found guidance and stability through Hope House in Arvada.
Over the years, she grew, learned, and raised her two children within that supportive community. Hope
House later connected her with Kenzi’s Causes, believing it could offer the continued support she needed
as a single mother.
Emilia didn’t know what to expect when she met with Jessica, but joining Kenzi’s Kidz quickly became
exactly what she needed. She saw right away how deeply Kenzi’s Causes invests in families—not just
those in the program, but across Denver. The fundraisers, donation drives, and partnerships with local
businesses showed her that this organization was built on genuine care.
For her family, that care shows up month after month. Her kids get to connect with other families, swim
at rec centers, celebrate birthdays, and enjoy outings that would otherwise be out of reach. They attend
summer camp through KK, making friends and simply being a kid. One of Emilia’s favorite memories
was visiting a private jet in December—her son even got to sit in the cockpit, a moment he still talks
about.
Beyond the fun, Kenzi’s Causes has been a lifeline. Emilia received emergency rental assistance when
she fell behind, and holiday support when she needed help making Christmas special. Through every
challenge, she’s learned she can trust this community to show up for her consistently and without
judgment.
For Emilia, being part of Kenzi’s Kidz is more than a program—it’s a blessing. It’s a reminder that she
isn’t raising her children alone, and that there are people who believe in her, support her, and want her
family to thrive.
