Everyone is constantly talking and sharing and posting about 2020, COVID, BLM, the election, the riots, the list goes on and on… it’s most definitely been a brutal year. A year that none of us could have anticipated, and I think we’ve all become much more aware of how uncertainty feels on a number of levels.
Just think—there have been people in your community that have felt that level of uncertainty for years, if not their entire lives.
I know some of you probably think that people who struggle are most likely not doing whatever it takes to get back on their feet. Or perhaps you think of the homeless as just a bunch of drug addicts and alcoholics. Those stereotypes can be true — to an extent; however, all people matter.
What about the families?
What about the children that didn’t choose to grow up in a low-income situation?
What about the single mothers and fathers without any help?
What about the grandparents who become guardians unexpectedly?
What about the people in your community, that are just like you and me, that just need some sort of opportunity to keep going and support their families?
What about those people?
I’m not at all suggesting that the homeless people who are currently abusers do not deserve opportunity as well. There are certain organizations with certain missions that are protecting and fighting for those people. We respect them and support them.
Kenzi’s Causes, however, is called to serve low-income families in the Colorado area.
I can’t help but wonder… was 2020 meant to happen in order for us to all understand each other a little bit better?
You Know Why Giving Back Matters
I can go on and on about how our programs help so many families each and every day. I can tell you how it’s a tax write off and it’ll bring blessings to your own life. I can tell you a very inspirational story about a mother in our program who was able to turn her life around due to our services. But you already know why giving matters and what it can do.
Even the smallest level of generosity makes an impact and it’s truly needed now even more than previous years.
After This Year, Giving is Even More Valuable
With unemployment, online homeschooling, a global shutdown — the demand is higher than ever for generosity. There are families who have never needed our services, who will need our help after this year.
It’s the unsettling truth but isn’t there hope in knowing that there’s opportunity for growth by simply giving back?
We All Understand Uncertainty Now.
Let’s Rise Together Through the Hardships and Support One Another.
If you are in a position to give, you should. Simple as that. Not because I’m asking but because there are families in need that need your generosity. Do you know how significant that is? As a society, we are all entitled to our own opinions and building our own lives… but for just a second, cut out the noise and think about your neighbor. We’re all neighbors at the end of the day. We’ve all experienced this pandemic on some level and now, we can all see clearly what uncertainty really looks like.
If you can prevent another family from feeling uncertainty by simply setting up a small monthly donation that won’t affect your financial situation, why wouldn’t you do that?
Kenzi’s Causes has LOTS of different ways you can help support and give back to our families. Whether you want to submit a one-time donation, set up a recurring donation, or sponsor an event—ALL OF IT IS APPRECIATED AND GOING TO THE RIGHT CAUSES!
Let’s make 2021 our most generous year yet!
Thank you for your support and for trusting Kenzi’s Causes with your generosity!
