For many of us, the answer is no. Our clothes are nothing more than what we wear in a day, and beyond that, we often don’t give them a second thought.
But what if clothing could make a difference?
At Kenzi’s Kidz and Kenzi’s Causes Families, we believe it can. In this month’s article, we’re unpacking why that is and how it affects the lives of our Kidz and Families every day.
Meet Shantel Martinez + Her Family
Shantel Martinez and her five children, Sarina, Aliyah, Lorenzo, Mikey, and Jaiden have been a part of Kenzi’s Causes for just over two years. Although their time in the program has been limited, it has had an incredibly positive impact on them.
Shantel’s children range in age from two to seventeen. They like to play sports, play with cars, paint, cook, bake, and watch animals at the park. Kenzi’s Causes has made these very activities possible for the Martinez family.
Shantel said Kenzi’s Causes has had a “very big impact on our lives.” “[They’ve] helped me with clothes and shoes for the kids, beds, the food, fun activities…sports, etc.” [It] truly is a blessing to be in this program and I can’t thank them enough for all they do.”
Something that most of us take for granted – clothing – is massively significant to our Kidz and Families. And because of people just like you who donate, we’re able to contribute in valuable ways.
From clothes, sports fees, beds, activities, household items, and so much more, Kenzi’s Causes makes a difference in the lives of our Kidz and Families in ways that truly affect their day-to-day lives.
We asked Shantel to describe Kenzi’s Causes in one word. Her response?
“Blessing.”
It’s crazy to believe that what feels like such an insignificant thing can mean so much.
Shantel told us that she’s “truly…thankful and blessed for all you do for me and my kids. Thank you tons.”
