If you have siblings or come from a large family, you know it’s not always easy to find common ground. One of you loves sports while the other is into art and finding hobbies you can do together can be…challenging.
But making time for each other is essential – it’s how we make core memories and connect, regardless of differing interests.
The problem is, finding fun activities and experiences for the whole family is exhausting and, even worse, often expensive. Luckily, Kenzi’s Causes can help!
In this week’s article, we want to share the story of a family who has been able to bond with one another through our events.
Meet Ashley Eastman and Her Family
Ashley and her family have been a part of Kenzi’s Causes for nearly 4 years now! Her children are Cora, 18, Aiden, 10, Morgan, 10, Clara, 9, and Jasper, 3.
The Eastmans are a blended family, and although the kids have varying interests, they ultimately enjoy coming together to spend time as a family. For Ashley, Kenzi’s Causes has helped them find things that connect them.
From our holiday events to monthly family activities, there’s something that appeals to every member of her family, allowing them to find that common ground that matters so much.
“They have given our family so many amazing memories at their monthly events, countless meals, and the table that we come together to eat those meals at,” said Ashley.
For a family of her size, coordinating experiences for the whole family can be a full-time job!
Ashley said, “the experiences that they have provided my children throughout the years have been the most beneficial. The monthly events, summer camp, zoo memberships, everything, have given our family such amazing memories that we would not have had without them. Many of the experiences that they have provided us are things that we simply can not afford with such a large family.”
But beyond the events, there’s something even deeper going on that matters for families like Ashley’s, too. It’s also the understanding that there are people out there who genuinely care. At Kenzi’s Causes, we pride ourselves on not only hosting amazing events and providing excellent experiences but also on showing our families that we are a support system, and it seems that message has shined through to Ashley.
“In addition to the material and financial support, Kenzi’s Causes has provided our family with a tremendous amount of emotional and community support. The staff, volunteers, and other families in the program are all amazingly kind and caring and have become such important people in our lives. I do not know what we would do without them.”
