Kenzi’s Causes wants to thank one of our amazing volunteers, Michael Tague, for being an invaluable part of our team. As a volunteer for more than two years, Michael has become someone that we rely on during the holiday season to help make our Colorado Springs and Pueblo Toy Shops run smoothly.
Michael works for Safelight Autoglass in Colorado Springs—a company that helps sponsor our work with kids and families. He was introduced to our organization by one of his colleagues, Robert, and through Erik, our incredible Board Chair. For the past several years, Michael has continued to help us fundraise for events including our annual Golf4Kidz Tournament in June, and independently makes contributions to support our efforts. He initially volunteered for our Packz4Kidz event in August as well as our December Toy Shop and was “blown away” by the various support services that we at Kenzi’s Causes are able to offer the kids and families that we work with and for. He continues to donate his time at these events to make sure that they go off without a hitch so that each kid gets a toy at Christmas and a backpack chock-full of critical supplies for the start of the new school year.
Though he is under no obligation to continue to volunteer, Michael chooses to do so because helping people is one of his core values, and interacting with the kids just “makes his day brighter.” He describes his most memorable experience with Kenzi’s Causes was when he saw a family of five was able to have a nice Christmas because of the work we do—and that he contributed to—over the holidays.
We are so grateful to Michael for his continued support. We know we can count on you and that means the world to us at Kenzi’s Causes and to our kids and families!
